Why this product
The small everyday saucepan: a sauce, hot milk, two eggs, rice for two, leftovers to reheat. The body is 304 stainless steel and the base is tri-ply (stainless steel, aluminium core, stainless steel): the aluminium spreads the heat across the whole base, and the stainless steel outer layer makes it induction-ready. Milk does not catch in the centre while the edges stay cold.
The glass lid lets you watch the cooking without lifting it; it has holes on one side so you can drain as you pour. The stainless steel handle is riveted to the body.

Yes: the stainless steel outer base is magnetic. It also works on gas, ceramic and electric hobs.
Can the lid go in the oven?
No, only the saucepan. The manufacturer rates it to 315 °C in the oven, without the lid.
