Why this product
The secret to a perfect steak, a pink roast or a juicy chicken is the core temperature. This probe goes into the meat and stays there for the whole cook, with no wire at all: in the pan, in the oven or on the barbecue. The temperature shows live on the base and on your phone.
The probe has two sensors: one measures the inside of the meat, from -10 to 100 °C to within ±0.3 °C; the other, at the back, measures the surrounding air, up to 300 °C. It stores and charges in its base, which displays the temperature and relays the Bluetooth signal to your phone. 25 minutes of charging gives 25 hours of cooking.
The probe is waterproof (IP67) and dishwasher-safe. The free INKBIRD app, on iPhone and Android, adds cook tracking and history.

FAQ
What core temperature for a steak?
Rare 50 to 52 °C, medium 55 to 57 °C, well done 60 to 63 °C. Take the meat off 2 to 3 °C early: it keeps rising while it rests.
Do I need a phone?
No: the base displays the temperature. The INKBIRD app, free on iPhone and Android, adds remote monitoring and history.
Can I use it in a pan?
Yes, for a thick cut (rib of beef, fillet, duck breast): insert the probe horizontally into the centre. For a thin steak, the instant-read thermometer is more practical.
What if it's not right for me?
You have 60 days to send it back. The conditions are on our Shipping & returns page.
