Why this product
The sommelier's corkscrew: cut the foil with the small blade, screw the worm into the centre of the cork, then lever against the neck in two stages. The first notch brings the cork halfway out, the second finishes the job straight, without breaking the cork or straining the bottle.
The body is stainless steel, the handle wood, and it folds down to 12 cm to fit in a drawer or an apron pocket. The end of the lever doubles as a bottle opener. Two finishes: engraved, with a chased pattern on the metal, or plain.
For the wine that goes with the meat: shallot and red wine sauce, in the pan.

FAQ
How do I avoid breaking the cork?
Screw the worm into the centre until only one turn is left above the cork, then lever on the first notch, then on the second.
Engraved or plain?
Same corkscrew, same mechanism: the engraved version has a chased pattern on the metal, the plain one smooth metal.
